The Digital Waters Shore Box turns any WQMD into a fixed, long-term water quality station. Mounted on shore — a dock post, a fence stake, a bridge railing — and connected to your submerged WQMD by a 12-foot weatherproof cable, the Shore Box handles everything your device can’t do underwater: large-capacity power storage, mains or solar energy input, and a protected communications hub.

What the Shore Box does

Continuous power — A large onboard battery keeps your WQMD running far beyond its built-in 24-hour limit. Connect to mains power or a solar panel and the system runs indefinitely.
Land-based maintenance — Battery checks and communications happen from shore, not in the water. Your WQMD sensors just need periodic wiping; everything else is managed at the box.
Weatherproof enclosure — Rated for outdoor exposure through all seasons. Mount it and leave it.
Simple cable connection — Plugs directly into the Shore Box port on any WQMD. No tools required for the connection.

What you’ll need

A Digital Waters WQMD (Community or Investigator Edition) with Shore Box port. Solar panel and mounting hardware are sold separately. Mains power requires a standard outdoor-rated extension or outlet within reach of the installation site.
